wellington's seaside festival paradise

BORN ON
THE FORESHORE
High Tide launched in 2022 as Wellington's first purpose-built waterfront electronic music festival — a shared vision between two of the capital's most active promoters, Audiology Touring and Coastal Promotions. The debut took over McEwan Park on the Petone foreshore: one day, two stages, every genre the city had been asking for. It sold out. So has every edition since.
In 2025, High Tide made the move Wellingtonians had been waiting for — off the Petone foreshore and into the heart of the CBD at Waitangi Park. Bigger capacity, world-class production, the biggest lineup yet. Wellington's flagship summer festival, right on the water.

Not Your Average Festival Day
From day one it's been about the water. Petone foreshore, now Waitangi Park — the ocean is always in view. Coastal charm meets modern music.
Two stages, no pigeonhole. Drum & bass, house, techno, UK garage, dubstep, hip-hop — international heavyweights, national icons and the best local talent, one day.
World-class sound, lights and staging built for the space. Bespoke stages, immersive design.
All-inclusive, safe, diverse. A crowd that comes to be there — not to be seen. Summer starts here.
“High Tide’s impressive audience growth, positive attendee feedback and strong engagement with the city’s youth population have all contributed to it being an appealing partnership for the city.”
two crews, one festival

A decade building New Zealand's electronic music infrastructure — bringing international heavyweights to NZ and running flagship festivals including Mardi Gras, Parklands, No Days Off and Mystery Festival. National reach that gives High Tide a lineup calibre most one-day festivals can't touch.

Wellington and Auckland-based, and co-founder of High Tide from day one. From the sold-out Heavy Rollers tour to the Something Something warehouse festival, Coastal brings the grassroots credibility — it's why High Tide feels like a Wellington festival, not a festival that happens to be in Wellington.
George FM is a proud media partner of High Tide Festival, helping bring the festival to audiences across the country.
From 2025, High Tide is also supported by WellingtonNZ in recognition of the festival’s audience growth, its role in the summer calendar, and its economic impact on the CBD.
